CYSDP
Commonwealth Youth Sport for Development and Peace Network (CYSDP)
The CYSDP champions the use of sport as a powerful tool to achieve youth development goals and drive social progress.
Comprising members from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds, the network strives to become:
“The leading voice for youth in the Commonwealth, promoting innovative practices in sport for development and peace by engaging young people and influencing policymakers in their communities.”

Commonwealth Youth Sport for Development and Peace Working Group
The CYSDP Working Group consists of a dynamic team of young leaders and practitioners dedicated to advancing the field of Sport for Development and Peace (SDP). Formed in 2013 with support from the Commonwealth Secretariat’s Youth Division, this group is committed to fostering positive change through sport.
Core Strategic Themes
The CYSDP is built around three key pillars:
– Advocate: Inspire and engage stakeholders by championing the role of sport in creating sustainable development.
– Educate: Share knowledge and tools that empower youth to leverage sport for peace and progress.
– Demonstrate: Showcase the real-world impact of sport as a catalyst for development across communities.
Through these efforts, CYSDP continues to shape a brighter future for youth in the Commonwealth and beyond.
